1. Selection and decision in the town or the countryside is not the same.
In the countryside, qi is scattered/dispersed/dissipated. To establish a house, the method of selection is according to obtaining both mountain and water as good condition.
In town, qi is gathered/assembled. Even though there is no water to be gathered/received, yet if the neighbouring houses are uneven (dented and raised/indentations and protrusions), high or low, if the street is wide or narrow, crooked/curved and straight. Indented/sunken one, low one, wide one, and curved and moving one becomes water. Straight one, protruding/raised one, narrow one, and exceptional higher one becomes mountain.
Commentary
The landscape of building in countryside and city are different. In countryside, the house is usually alone, open and some with real mountain and real water. Qi is scattered, therefore we must get both mountain and water; mountain should be elegant and beautiful, water should be curvy, loving, bright and clean.
In town/city, the buildings are mostly next to each other, population is centralized. Street is broad, there is no obvious real mountain and river, therefore we need to pay attention to high and low and unevenness of the neighbour, and the size (wide and narrow) of road etc.

2. The Sequencing of the stars
The sequencing of the stars is the same for yang house and yin house, using the qi received from the yuan yun [(dominant) time periods] as the host. The adding approach [jia1 lin2, or the arrival, meaning flying the stars in sequence] of the mountain and facing flying stars and guest stars are the usage/application.
Yin house values facing water. Yang house values the door facing (or direction), because the door facing is what admits qi [to the house]. If there is water emitting [reflecting] light outside the door, it [the water and the door] is more important than the road. Decline or prosperity (Shuai1 Wang4) depends on water. The weight depends on the stars' logic [calculation], otherwise it is without the slightest difference.
Commentary:
1. In the principles above, yin house and yang house both emphasize facing water. Only in yang house, facing water is not easy to demand, only then we attaches more importance to the door facing.
2. Because the 'door' is just like a person's nose or mouth, it is the crux of receiving 'qi', and where the 'power' lies, for it holds the power to determine the good/bad fortune or luck to a house.
If one can see 'reflecting' water from one door, the respond is faster, that is why it is more important than road.

3. The Facing of the House [versus] the Facing of the Door
Generally, with newly built houses, the house facing and the door facing are equally important. First, decide the merits and faults (or gains and losses) of the 'outside six matters' (Wai4 Liu4 Shi4) according to the house facing. If this is not effective, then decide it [the merits and faults of the six things] by the door facing. If [placement based on] the facing of the house is already effective, one must not consider the door facing. On the contrary, if [placement is] effective based on the door facing, one needs not question/pay attention to the facing of the house.
Commentary
For a newly built house, the direction of the facing of the house and the door are equally important.
If we want to know the ups and downs of a house, first try to determine the event based on the facing of the house, if it is inconsistent with the fact, then we use the direction of the door to determine.
If the fact is consistent with the finding based on the facing of the house, there is no need to check the finding based on the direction of the door and vice versa.

4. The hall's situation in the surroundings
Generally, with yang house readings, first examine the qi veins of the mountain and river terrain to see whether or not they suit the situation. Then check the road qi, the outside six activities, and the roof ridge of the neighboring homes, monumental archways, flag poles, grave mounds, old trees, etc. in the environment and see which star palace they fall into. Distinguish the decline (shuai) from the prospering (wang) in order to decide the auspicious and inauspicious.
Exterior Six Things/Matters:
1) road/alley
2) pool/well
3) toilet
4) stockyard
5) bridge
6) temple
Interior Six Things/Matters:
1) room doors
2) courtyard
3) hall - is by the entrance, Ming Tan.
4) bed
5) kitchen/cooking stove
6) mill
commentary:
When we examine a yang zhai, we must first look at the mountain range and the waterway/ water route to see if it suits the situation (In a town we need to examine the height (low and high) of the ground and the drain, the flow direction of the drain off waterway.) Then we examine the road and the construction of the surroundings. Also the neighbour's roof ridge, memorial gateway/archway, telephone pole, old tree, tomb block, flagpole, and others to see which palace that they are located (on the flying star chart), and examine how is effect on the mountain and facing stars. By looking at their decline and the prospering, we can determine the good or bad.

5. The door [main entrance] opened on the side
In general, judge the auspicious or inauspicious of a yang house according to the main entrance facing, as this is the main way that qi is admitted [into the house]. If the main entrance is opened on the side, then use [both] the main entrance facing and the correct house facing. Combine the two plates [charts] and look at them.
If the outside is auspicious but the inside is inauspicious, it is difficult to get rid of this defect. If the outside is inauspicious but the inside is auspicious, it only permits a little health/peace.

The person next to Hugh is Stephen Fry. He’s one of the most introverted people I’ve ever seen. Yet he’s an actor and comedian.
I think like you
Just because someone is an actor doesn’t mean they are extroverted. Many people turn to acting as a means of hiding their nervousness. I can think of a number of very nervous and shy actors. In any case, I doubt you know Hugh’s personality any better than Hugh himself or his own closest friend, both of whom would seem to disagree with you.

as an actor hugh laurie is very extroverted i think the guy’s description fits hugh very well considering HE’S A COMEDIAN!!
even though i don’t believe in pyschics etc, i think that guy nailed him pretty good
My life does not exist in Mythology, my life is well documented and no one else needs to resort to belief to confirm I exist.
Please make more sense.
get in stephen fry!
Definitions of astrology given to me by astrologers and supporters of astrology over the last 2 years: "first and foremost a science", "not a science and nothing to do with science", an art, a principle, a technique, a way of thinking, "a rational system of observation and deduction", a means of identifying energies, a religion, a structured philosophy, proto-psychology, some of the above, all of the above and none of the above.
Please name them. Culture excluded as astrology is subjective as is psychological profiles.
I’m not upset in the slightest. I am interested in finding out whether astrologers can do what they claim they can. This is not easy when astrologers cannot even seem to agree on what astrology is. They contradict one another and even themselves. So far I have been given ten distinct definitions of what astrology is. Your definition is the 11th I have seen.
Astrology is a study of the cycles of nature and the cycles of man and their correspondences. It is subjective information based on astrological laws and principles and it can provide guidance about what to expect within those cycles. Sorry didn’t mean to upset you!!
I regard that as typical woo-woo claptrap. Please provide a clear definition of precisely what astrology is, what it is not, and what it can and cannot do.
None of what you said makes any sense and requires clarification. Statements such as ‘myth is a universal language’ and ‘your life exists within the stories of myth’ are completely ambiguous and essentially meaningless.
Sorry – over your head.
Eh?
Myth is a universal language as opposed to superstition. Your life exists within the stories of myth – we all carry those same stories within us. Sorry you just conform. This is the meaning of the collective -you just can’t escape it.
of course! astrology is nothing to live by..of course I just think astrology is fun and to me, I like it for FUN purposes not for life you know..I’m only 14…
Since there is nothing to indicate that astrology is anything other than myth and superstition, I think it is something I can safely live without.
hey don’t go all against astrology, this is America and we can believe in anything we want..but if you insist, it is to your OWN issue that you don’t like the idea astrology, so be it..but that’s just me..
Was there ever a time when astrology (of any kind) WAS accurate? If so, is there any evidence you can point to to support this?
…adding on, the moons force of gravity is is only 1/6th to us on Earth..how about other planets? I’m starting not to trust astrology, yet I’m still 50/50…
Well you’re right..since astrology now is no longer accurate and the constellations shift every 2000 years or so..and I also think the length of the zodiac are inaccurate, it’s simply just an illusion. In astrology, the earth and the sun are 180 degrees apart, but what SEEMS like an illusion is that when the "SUN" is in Aries (for example), the Earth is in Libra (opposite sign), so our true signs must be our opposite signs….
Natal astrology has been tested a number of times and failed. Also, I ‘ve had two natal charts done and neither was remotely accurate. Natal astrologers insist that only natal astrology is genuine astrology, just as vedic astrologers insist that only vedic is the real deal, ditto sunsign astrologers who…etc, etc….
Fry absolutely destroys him. It also looks to me like he had put together that it was Hugh Laurie even though he wasn’t officially supposed to know. His delivery has the ring of cold reading, and it stands to reason he could have clued in quickly. He’s given the chart, walks out to see two very recognizable guests, starts throwing out things that apply to both and Hugh averts his eyes and looks mighty uncomfortable. Compare to other cold reading videos and see what you make of it.
